Have you ever regretted or wished you could take back something you have said or a photo you have posted online? Explain.
There was one time I said something I truly regretted. I only said it because she told me to be honest and it hurt her feelings. I will never say anything similar to that ever again because I soon found out exactly how she felt.

Do you friend or follow people you don't know online or on social media? Explain why.
I never friend anyone that I don't know because I am scared that someone may stalk me and I might be in danger if they find out where I am. It is extremely dangerous to let strangers know where you are and what you are doing. What social media apps or websites do you use? Which is your favorite? Explain why. OR if you do not use social media, explain why.
I use instagram, and snapchat to associate with my friends. My favorite is Snapchat because I can use different filters to express how I feel. On Tuesday, you watched a Prezi & watched videos about Digital Footprints. What does YOUR digital footprint say about you? Think about it & explain
My digital footprint says that I am a family person because I always post pictures of me and my brothers together. It also shows that I am loving and caring because I express my feelings about a lot. Have you ever experienced or witnessed cyberbullying? If yes, how did you handle it and why. If no, what would you do it happened to you or someone you knew? Explain why.
No, but if it happened to me I would first inform an official so they will be aware and just stay to myself and not let anyone know that it bothers me; however, if it happened to someone I knew I would comfort them and let them know that they are so much better than what anyone is saying because soon their self esteem will get low and they would hide out. What does digital citizenship mean to you (in your own words)? How can you be a responsible digital citizen? Why is digital citizenship important? Explain.
Digital citizenship means not posting things on the internet that you wouldn't want your parents or any other officials to view. You can be a responsible digital citizen by using social media sites as inspirational sites and not putting your personal business out there for everyone to see. It is important because not using digital citizenship responsibly can cost you your entire future. Go to http://www.nsteens.org/Comics/StandByOrStandUp and go through the interactive comic simulation. Explain the choices you made and how those actions affected Katie
I chose not to send the picture because it was embarrassing and wasn't fair to Katie. After he sent it to everyone in his phone I deleted it because I didn't want to get caught and get in trouble for distribution. I reported the video because it was a form of cyber bullying and I didn't appreciate them sharing it. Katie was embarrassed and picked on for a picture she didn't know about that really hurt her feelings instead of people standing up for her they just laughed like it was ok. Now that you have setup your website, let us know how it went. Was it easy or was it difficult? What ideas do you have or have you used to make your site more personalized? Be sure to explain, so we understand where you are coming from.
Setting up my website was extremely easy. It didn't take me long because it was self explanatory and I enjoyed it completely. My site is personalized based on things that I like and that makes me feel happy. The pink hearts symbolizes the love that I have for people. The white decorative background symbolizes the purity and peaceful life I would love to have. I have many more ideas I plan to use on the way to show my true feelings without using words. My page will symbolize my emotions more than anything. |
